There’s something extraordinary to be acknowledged about a man
That has your back and gives supports in ways that no one else can It feels more meaningful Even at times when the goal doesn’t seem to be achievable Knowing that you are always in my corner Gives me the will to work harder As if my life hasn’t been anything out of the ordinary already Being born and diagnose with Cerebral Palsy was heavy On you, mom, and the entire family Not wanting to accept what had happen, you left Out of my life not considering the pain that my mom felt Raising me without your help during that time period was rough So many doctor appointments, physical therapy, occupation therapy, speech therapy, popup sickness days, yea things had gotten though But, soon afterwards You came back and things began to get better My days became brighter When we started getting closer You promise to never leave me again And, to this day you remain to be my best friend That’s why on this Father's Day, I celebrate you because throughout all of the ups and downs that we’ve had You are still my special dad By, Ed Penn
